Naomi Abel-Hirsch is a London-based director and producer. She has worked in production on documentaries for the BBC, Netflix, Hulu and Discovery, across development, shooting and story. She is also a contributor to the We Are Doc Women programming team.

Her debut short documentary, ROSE’S HOUSE, which she directed and produced independently, traces the life of Martine Rose - who in 1979 renovated a terraced house in Sheffield and opened it to a community of trans people. Made over two years with Martine and previously unseen archive material, Rose's House premiered at Sheffield DocFest 2026 to four-star reviews and is now on a BAFTA-qualifying festival run.

Naomi's work is drawn to archive, queer history and the communities that build their own spaces. She is currently developing her second short film.
